How to Choose a Husband with Suzanne Venker May 8, 2013
SUZANNE VENKER has written extensively about politics, parenting, and the influence of feminism on American society for more than a decade.
Suzanne has appeared on The View, Fox & Friends, Fox’s former Dayside with Linda Vester, ABCNews.com, CNN with Carol Lin, C-Span, and Canadian and Australian news outlets—as well as hundreds of radio shows throughout the country.
She’s written four books, and we’ll have her on to discuss How to Choose a Husband (And Make Peace With Marriage) (February 2013). On the heels of the uproar created by Prof. Ralph Richard Bank’s Is Marriage for White People, Suzanne has very firm ideas about what women and men need to do to maintain a marriage, and believes that feminism is in many respects, hurting male/female relationships and women’s chances for marriage.
How to Choose a Husband (And Make Peace with Marriage), takes a hard look at the sexual revolution and encourages women to reject the cultural script they’ve been sold about love, sex, men and marriage. We’ll also look at:
- whether he’s the “one” or if you should run
- how your upbringing may be affecting your ability to attract and/or keep a man
- how modern women can be feminine yet still strong and independent
- cultural and racial differences in attitudes about marriage
- the role of power in romantic relationships
