Black Friday 50% off discount Improve Your Assets ebook The buttocks of women has taken on a life of its own in the U.S. Though black men are known for their fascination with “phat asses”, men of all ethnicities are openly expressing their appreciation for a woman with tight, shapely glutes — the perfect butt. There are entire websites devoted to the posterior of women. Models like Buffy “The Body” Carruth, Anita Hart, Absolutely Amber, and celebrities like Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, and Kim Kardashian have positively impacted their careers playing to men’s erotic fantasies about their asses.

On the other hand, single women who believe they don’t measure up in the butt department are going through some pretty drastic measures to get the butt they feel will make them more competitive in the dating game. Stereotypes would have you believing that all black women have phat asses, but that isn’t quite true. Many black women have pancake flat butts, flabby butts with no tone from dieting and not exercising, or butts that are disproportionately large, unshapely and full of cellulite. Some of the most common things women do to get the perfect butt involves expensive, risky, even life-threatening procedures.

Implants and Surgical Enhancements

From research, I discovered that there are two different types of butt lifts.

One involves implants, and the other, the Brazilian Butt Lift technique. In the Brazilian Butt Lift, the surgeon uses liposuction to extract fat from the thighs, back or stomach area then transfers it to your butt. Reportedly, there is less risk of infection or rejection since the fat tissue is coming from your own body.  And women with fat deposits in undesirable areas are happy to move it around to where they feel it will do the most good. The Brazilian butt lift technique is popular with both men and women who want to balance out their physique.

Implant surgery is an outpatient procedure that takes about an hour to perform. If liposuction of the thighs, hips or buttocks is being done, then it may take an additional 30-45 minutes.  You must be placed face down for the operation. A 5 to 6 cm (about ¼ inch) vertical incision is made in the well-hidden buttock center crease, the sacrum. The implants are inserted into a pocket created in the glute muscle, then the muscle is closed over the implants. The incision is then closed in layers. If liposuction is going to be done, it is performed through separate incisions.

With any surgery, there is a risk of serious complications or even death. Dozens of stories have appeared in the news of women being permanently disfigured or dying as a result of botched plastic surgeries in their quest to have the perfect butt.

Though surgery and implants may seem to be the quick and easy fix, enhancement surgery doesn’t always go as planned. Surgery is positively ill advised for people with cardiovascular diseases, who have had previous varicose vein procedures, diabetes, or who are generally in poor health. It will also set you back several thousand dollars and require several weeks off from work. Responsible surgeons will meet with a prospective client, carefully go over your medical history, and figure out if either of these surgeries is a viable option for you should you desire to go that route.

There are many different types of butt injections (fat transfer injections, hydrogel injections, PMMA injections, silicone injections, and bootleg/black market injections). Sometimes, its not clear exactly what you’re being injected with.  Each type of butt injection has its own unique set of risks, but generally the risks associated with injection procedures include:

Step Back Lunges with One Dumbbell

Start in a neutral standing position, feet hip width apart, abs tight and pulled into your spine, shoulders back and knees soft. Holding a 5 lb or greater weight dumbbell in your right hand, bring your right knee up until it is parallel to the floor, then swing it back to take a large step backward with your right leg. Land on the toe and bend both knees to lunge down toward the floor until your left thigh is at a 90-degree angle with the floor.

Make sure your left knee is behind your toes, and your right knee is a few inches from the ground. Drive your body back up with your left leg, pressing weight through the heel to return to standing position. Repeat all reps on right side; switch dumbbell to left hand and repeat.

Step Back with One DB

This exercise targets quads, hamstrings and glutes while challenging balance and engaging your core. Feel free to use a single kettlebell instead of a dumbbell (as pictured). Challenge yourself and go as heavy as you can comfortably handle with good form.
