“Most single church sisters have waited their entire lives for God to send them a mate. Some have waited longer than others. Nevertheless, we all know what it feels like to wait. It is uncomfortable and nerve-racking at times. Not knowing the day, the time or the hour in which our desire will manifest can cause anxiety and fear. In the back of our minds we’re afraid it may not happen. Why? Years have passed and it hasn’t happened yet. We can’t tell anyone how anxiously we’re waiting for our Boaz to rescue us from the perils of single life. We fear how desperate we may sound to others. Who wants to appear needy and anxious? No one does, but the people closest to us can normally sense the anticipation. They will more than likely quote a scripture when the feeling is strong. (Philippians 4:6) “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.” And, yes, they are correct. The Bible verse is clear, yet we still find ourselves, thinking—I WANT MY HUSBAND NOW!”
She is the recipient of several local and international awards for her efforts to change the plight of women, children and youth facing injustice around the globe. She has been featured in ESSENCE and Gospel Today Magazine as a trailblazer for combating women’s issues. She is the Founder and Director of I CAN FLY International Inc. which is a multi-faceted global ministry that offers free education and enrichment programs to disadvantaged women and girls living in Kenya-East Africa suffering from child marriage, female genital mutilation and HIV/AIDS orphans. She is a licensed minister, inspirational speaker and playwright. Her previous books include the novel, THROUGH THE STORM, and I AM WOMAN: Walking in God’s Divine Purpose.
Sha’ will provide practical tips on how to avoid sexual pit-falls, common mistakes women make while choosing a mate, understanding God’s plan for sex and lots more.
