How to Keep a Man Interested in You
All over the web, in book after book, and in women’s magazines like Cosmo, Woman’s Day, Essence, Ebony, and even teen magazines, are articles that tell females what they must do, say, wear and be like in order to “keep” their boyfriend or husband interested in them.
Since when did it become the sole responsibility of the female to keep a man interested in her or a relationship? Who said that?
I do know that if a man cheats one of the first things black women do is blame the female, chastising her with comments such as “you can’t KEEP your man” or “you must not be doing something right so he has to go get it somewhere else!” Black men happily buy into this blame shifting mentality because it takes the heat off them!
And why do so many men expect to sit on their butt and not lift a finger to entice or romance their women, but expect HER to do all the work emotionally, sexually, physically and in every other way to bring HIM entertainment and excitement?
Is it possible for a woman to keep a man interested in her who has lost interest? What does she have to do to turn things around? How much work is it going to be to KEEP him focused on her long-term?
Does it make sense to even try to take on such a burdensome responsibility?
This should be a very interesting discussion!
