Act Like a Lady: Great Dating Advice or Biggest Joke Steve Ever Told?
On Friday. May 11th 2012 we’ll get together to discuss Steve Harvey’s dating advice guide for women “Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man!” 
Is there any value at all in Steve Harvey’s dating advice guide for women? We say hell no! For the woman that wants to empower herself, make choices in her own best interest, and who refuses to live her life appeasing the male ego, this book is a no-no. But he knew who to market it to church going Black women that believe in male dominance and female submission… that believe in accepting male judgments about female sexuality and modifying their behavior accordingly to please men.
This book is an absolute horror, full of double messages, female blaming for male behavior, and negativity about women. So why did so many black women run out and buy it, believe what a comedian said as if it were the gospel truth from the lips of Moses himself, and carry his book around like it was the guidebook to life?
Don’t black women understand that the joke is on them and Steve is laughing all the way to the bank?

Hey Deb, I’ve been listening and watching your videos for a bit now and
I think you are spot on with Steve Harvey’s sexist “dating advice” book
and I agree that alot of women rather listen to an authoritative man
giving “advice” on relationship, then listen to other women’s toxic
experiences with men and warn others about the types of men they should
never date. That’s why they are women competing against each other over
men and are influenced by toxic reality shows and promote that kind of
woman hating behavior.
However, I do disagree with that
caller who said that men are being too “feminized” and no, they are
not. In reality, men are becoming more masculinitized and Harvey tries
to teach women to think “like a man” because they hate female behavior
and femininity, but if women do become more “masculine”, they get hated
on and talk about how ugly and loud she is. You can’t please these men.
Another thing I disagree with you on is that how black women should be
like Kim Kardashian and I’m like, no. Kim was ALREADY BORN into that
privileged life and makes her career out of being an objectified sex
object. If you’re kind of educated on feminism, you should already know
this. Black women should be inspired to be like Michelle Obama, and
Lupita Nyongo, not by a white woman and her wigger ass family. Also,
please stop with the victim blaming! Just because a woman did a simple
mistake (ie taking nudes to her ex), doesn’t mean she deserved to be
raped, humiliated, or murdered. You gave out good advice don’t get me
wrong, but you still have so much work to do.
If that is all you got out of my commentary on the Kardashians, you have some comprehension problems girlfriend. I have no work to do about anything. I never expect everyone in the world to see things as I do or have similar opinions. The fact that you have the gall to make it seem like I must agree with YOUR viewpoint means you on some shit that I don’t want to hear. You do you. I will do me. Always have and always will.
