You Don’t Know HOW To Date!
The last U.S. Census report stated that for the first time in the history of the U.S., we have a higher population of single adults in this country than we do married.
Are most of us single by choice – finding a life of aloneness to be preferable? Or are we stymied by our lack of skills with the whole dating and mating process? From where I sit, its the latter. Over the next few months I’ll explain why.
Anyway, the census report stats, coupled with the sky high divorce rates in this country means that at some point, most adults are going to be single and looking for love.
Love, not lust, not booty calls, not codependent, sick and twisted attachments to a fool, but real solid soul stirring and spiritually enriching, heart warming love. Complete with commitment.
Amazingly, there is training and experience associated with every job in the world… except for how to be successful in a long-term relationship, how to be happily married, and how to be a good parent!
Wow. The most important components of the human experience – how to find, keep and nurture loving relationships – and we have few role models, no training courses, and therefore, no skills at loving.
Is there any wonder that singles stumble and bumble around, messing up and getting their feelings creamed while they search for love?
I feel like Obama must have felt his first few weeks in office… "What kinda mess is this!?"
